The opening ceremony for the second semester

On September 1st, when the word “autumn in this morning” or “Kesa no Aki”(in Japanese) first came to my mind, the opening ceremony for the second semester was held as scheduled. At the principal’s address, he gave the following words about the origin and purpose of the Olympics and Paralympics.

The Olympics were born from the idea of pushing human abilities to the limit and having fun. Meanwhile, the Paralympics were triggered by British doctor Dr. Ludwig Guttmann, who incorporated sports into his treatment to rehabilitate and reintegrate soldiers injured in World War II.
Our school students watched the goal ball on August 30th. Students said that they were very impressed by the play of players who are active despite their disabilities.
Athletes accept disabilities, in other words, affirm themselves and develop themselves. This is very important for everyone. If you can increase your self-affirmation and feel joy in your life, your life will be enriched more. I want you to remind yourself that there are many people who are working hard on their goals and make efforts in their lives.

Following the opening ceremony, we held was a commendation ceremony where students who left outstanding record in their activity outside the school during the first semester and the summer vacation, went up to the stage to receive the commendation. As always, a wide variety of awards are a scene that makes you feel SHIBUMAKU culture.
