A Place to Nurture Individuality and Diversity
In order to realize our educational goals, there are a great variety of facilities on campus. There are various mechanisms set up so that our students may proactively challenge themselves towards three goals; “to develop abilities of self-thinking and self-awareness”, “to properly nurture a sense of ethics,” and “to develop qualities as a cosmopolitan person”. For example, to facilitate “self-thinking and self-awareness”, there are many open areas including the café terrace that end up becoming forums where ShibuMaku students nurture their individuality through interactions with friends and teachers. In addition, at the Tamura Memorial Auditorium (1,100-seat capacity) and the two Enlightenment Halls (400-seat capacities each), a number of lectures and the principal’s talks are held throughout the year to help the students determine their own future paths.
