Overseas College Guidance Counseling Office: A Place to Explore Options

The Overseas College Guidance Office opened at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year to better assist our students in exploring and creating options for their post-high school education. This office provides a centralized location where our students can find information on all aspects of the process for applying to overseas universities, in addition to being a space where students and parents can meet with Shibu-Maku’s overseas college guidance counselor.

Our students have access to a plethora of information in this office to research schools and prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and TOEFL. To support our students’ research into universities that would best suit their educational aspirations and approaches to learning, we maintain files containing brochures from various schools around the world that are organized by geographic region. Additionally, we have a library of study guides and aides from various well-respected publishers that our students can utilize to prepare for their standardized tests. Our students can borrow from this library study guides for the SAT, SAT Subject Tests, ACT, and the TOEFL.

We look forward to working with our students and their parents to create the options for our students so they can choose the best path for themselves to pursue a higher education. The door to the Overseas College Guidance Office is always open, so please stop by.
